BMW launches more powerful S1000RR motorcycle

LatestMotorcycles.com: Luxury auto giant BMW has launched its upgraded S1000RR motorbike which is more advanced and more powerful that the earlier version launched in 2014. The German company has claimed that it has cut 8.8 pounds from the bike for the new version and the upgraded S1000RR will weigh around 449.7 lbs.

The catch is that the bike is not meant for short distances and is not for casual street riding either. Here are a few improved features of the new BMW S1000RR.

• The bike has an increased output to 199 hp art 13,500 rpm with a torque of up to 83lb-ft at 10,500 rpm.
• The improved bike has a better ride-ability due to the torque from 5,000 rpm upwards as well as a more linear curve.
• Newly designed cylinder head with a new duct design and lighter intake valves.
• Reduced weight by 8.8 lbs to 449.7 lbs with a full tank of fuel.
• Better and lighter frame structure with a good blend of rigidity and flexibility for more traction and clear feedback.
• Spring elements that are fully adjustable with optimized negative spring travel for more banking clearance.
• New electrical system with a more powerful sensor box and a light weight battery.
