The New Honda Phantom Creeps Up On The Competition

Honda, holding the honorable distinction of being the International Automaker with the longest sustained manufacturing presence in the United States of America, comes once again to delight its fans while blowing away the competition with their latest offering- the 2016 Honda Shadow Phantom.

Engine and Transmission

The Phantom’s blacked-out 755cc engine, coupled with its two-in-two exhaust system featuring bullet-style mufflers imbue it with its subtle yet irresistibly commanding aura. A programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system makes use of a single 34mm throttle body for efficient fuel delivery, come rain or shine. Wide-ratio five-speed transmission and a three-valve cylinder head design offer light, easy shifting as well as an incomparable output efficiency. A durable, practically maintenance –free shaft final drive supplies a smooth, quiet power transfer onto the welcoming asphalt. The Phantom comes out ready to play.

Chassis and Additional Features

A single front disc brake with dual-piston calipers grips a 296mm drilled rotor between sintered metal pads for on-a-dime stopping capability. Dual-shock rear suspension featuring a five-position spring preload adjustability as well as a large 4mm thick fork brace mounted under the front fender ensure the smoothest of rides while maintaining a practical rigidity.

A remarkably low 655mm seat height coupled with the Phantoms’ upright riding position and innovative frame design featuring a large steel-tube-backbone will accommodate riders of all dimensions in well-deserved comfort and control.

The attractively housed, tank-mounted speedometer provides information at a glance while the brilliant 60-/55/watt halogen headlight cuts through the thickest of the elements. Steering head and helmet locks provide added security while in parking.
