The 2016 Yamaha Stryker Bullet Cowl- Striking Out The Competition

From the Land of The Rising Sun, the Yamaha Motor Company shines once more across the cruiser motorcycling landscape with its latest offering, the 2016 Yamaha Stryker Bullet Cowl. A healthy dose of attitude topped off by a bold, aerodynamic bullet cowl makes for what’s arguably the world’s ultimate midsize chopper-inspired custom.

Engine and Transmission

The Stryker’s 1304cc V-twin liquid-cooled engine with a 9.5:1 compression ratio and dual counter-balancers links to special compact rocker arms with needle bearings on its Cam Drive facilitate the smooth delivery of power to the asphalt, maintain a classic big cruiser sound and pulse as well as reducing top-end weight for superlative mass-decentralization. Advanced ceramic-composite-plated cylinders, with four valves per cylinder (36mm intake, 32mm exhaust), provide inimitable combustion efficiency.

Electronic twin 40mm bore fuel injection systems provides the optimal precision across the full range of engine rpm. 5-speed transmission and a low maintenance Belt Final Drive deliver a smoother shifting feeling and more immediate throttle responsiveness than a shaft drive.

Chassis and Additional Features

The Stryker has a 6-degree yoke and raked triple clamps adding up to a combined 40-degree fork rake. The rear suspension is a bottom-link-type Monoshock system with a gas charged single shock equipped with an adjustable spring reload. A low seat height, real steel fenders, stylish aluminum custom wheels and low profile tires equate to a relaxed riding attitude without managing to inhibit the Stryker’s aggressive spirit.
