KTM launches 2015 Duke 390 with few updates for Indian market

Australian bike manufacturing giant KTM introduced the 2015 model of the highly popular RC 390 in the Indian market. KTM had launched the RC 390 bike in 2014 and has now introduced the new model.

The new KTM 390 has also got the LED turn signals and the RC inspired handlebar grip. Plenty of changes and additions have been made to the bike but comes at the same price Rs. 1.90 Lakh (3045 USD) Ex showroom price New Delhi. KTM has increased the service interval for the Duke 390 from 5,000 kms to 7,500 kms.

The RC 390 Duke is built in India by Indian auto giant Bajaj that owns 49% stake in the Australian parent company. The fuel injection engine has a forged aluminium piston sliding in a Nikasil liner and employs a DLC coated finger followers of the twin cam valvetrain. The new Duke might not be intended for the racetrack use but is a good machine for the roadsters.

The RC 390 and the Duke 390 have the same engine, chassis as well as braking components. Other markets also have versions 125cc and 200cc. The bike weighs 79 lbs and has robotically welded tubular steel trellis frame, aluminium swingarm and standard anti-lock brakes.
