Suzuki GSX-S1000 Naked & GSX-S1000F Sport

LatestMotorcycles.com: The wait is over for a Suzuki’s naked bike with the launch of the GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000 Sport. Bike-loving fanatics have long been waiting for Suzuki’s naked version and soon it will be in the market for bikers to show their real skill on the road. Both of these models have some comfortable features, along with a modern chassis and are superbikes, indeed.

The GSX-S1000 and S1000F have been powered by the earlier generation GSX-R1000 engine, which has been redefined for a power packed mid-range performance. The hunky, sharp, distinctive look it gets from its predecessors but that has just worked in favor of these stunning new models.

The instant lowdown ‘wheelie of throttle’ is probably going to disappoint bikers as the response is not as good as expected from a bike of this intensity. The bike also has another drawback – while riding in a slow speed, with the power delivery being a bit rough when there is acceleration in the lower gears.

The bike has not been electronically upgraded with an auto-blipper, the different riding-modes, the launch control, plush-suspension, and a quickshifter; even the tyres are not the latest of the versions which makes it a bit of a weak competitor if compared to the BMW S1000R and Aprilia Tuono V4.

But it is not over all disappointing to bikers as it has the new ABS version (optional), a full LCD and a three stage traction control. However, the best part of the new Suzuki launch is its price. It is one of the cheapest bikes in this section if compared to its European Competitors at £8999.

The new Suzuki is an absolute fast machine and as expected from a 144bhp bike, it has the chassis of a superbike and gives you the joy and adventure of a wheelie for as long as a biker’s talent can force him. It’s swift, but stable. In spite of the fact that GSX-S1000 and S1000F have almost all the contemporary features, these bikes a still a lightweight bike in this segment.
