Harley-Davidson certainly made a good number of additions to their motorcycle collection in 2016. The 2016 Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide ultra is set to be an example for the touring bike community right from its name. We are already accustomed to Harley touring bikes and their power, great aerodynamics and stylish looks, and we’re sure the Touring Road Glide will not make an exception.
Harley-Davidson is one of the most famous and resected motorcycle manufacturers worldwide, having been around for more than 100 years and knowing both periods of extreme success and poor performance. Its fans have transformed their love for HD motorcycles almost into a cult, with lots of clubs to join and private events to participate it both in the US and worldwide.
The 2016 Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide, as the manufacturer state himself, was designed to produce the most comfortable riding experience possible while still maintaining the power and aggressive look we are all accustomed too.
Twin-Cooled™ High Output Twin Cam 103™ Engine, which is the result of years of Harley-Davidson experience and innovation. It has the greatest passing power in all Harley history and is, all in all, a very good engine
Dunlop Blackwall Tires, precisely a 180mm rear tire designed for harder surfaces and great angling on the road
Hand controls designed for long usage
New Dual Reflector Headlamps
Six-speed transmission for both relaxed cruising and sudden spikes of power
Air-Adjustable suspensions
Great sound system, which is absolutely needed when you’re essentially living on your bike
Of course, these are just a few of the technical specifications of the bike. The overall style is one we’d recognize out of a million – an aggressive look, yet timeless and classic. The new model pays lots of respect to the history of Harley-Davidson.
All in all, it seems that the 2016 Harley-Davidson Touring Road Glide will be a great addition to the motorcycle collection of one of the most famous American manufacturers. With a starting price just above $25,500, it certainly won’t be for everyone, but neither were its predecessors. Be sure to take it for a test drive before you purchase it, but make sure you do have the money to buy it afterwards – you’ll be very disappointed to leave it if not.
