2016 Yamaha YZ450F has suspension and Launch control changes

Bike manufacturer Yamaha first released its YZ450F in 2014 and since then it has introduced just a few modifications instead of massive changes. The motocrosser has just been refined every year and some new modifications have been introduced in the 2016 Yamaha YZ450F. Changes have been made in the suspension and the chassis in 2015 and the company decided to go in that way for 2016.

The motor mounts that were changed in 2014 has been replaced and now has the newly designed ones that have been made from a different material to improve flex. The changes have been made to improve the rigidity and balance and improving the front end feel. New settings have also been introduced for the fork and shock and more importance has been given to the spring rate than valving.
The new YZ450F has new spring rates and with less aggressive valving and allows the bike to ride higher in the stroke and perform better on any track obstacle. Even the offset of the triple clamps has been increased from 22 mm to 25mm which has given the front of the bike a steeper head angle. Some improvements have also been made in the engine.
The intake and highlight cams highlight the updates and are installed to improve low-to-midrange power and torque. A few other changes include the new shape for the shift dog that smoothens the shifting and reduces the chance of finding a false neutral. At last Yamaha has joined other manufacturers by introducing a proprietary Launch Control System which engages a push of a button and disengages when the bike is shifted on the third gear.
