2016 Polaris Slingshot SL LE is a 3-wheeler and has a reverse trike and the ol’ tripod. The three points make a plane, but it isn’t clear whether Polaris will be able to convince the bureaucrats of the state that this machine fits into the motorcycle family.
Indeed, the Slingshot has three-point belts, waterproof seats, and forged aluminum roll hoops. The 2016 Polaris Slingshot SL LE has five-speed manual transmission and a steering wheel, with reverse. Resembling the Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice, the Slingshot makes a peek 166 pound-feet of torque and 173 horsepower. From its front seats forward, one will feel as if they’re riding a Mad Max’s Saturn Ion.
The Slingshot starts at a bargain price of $19,999, and this means that the bike might take the U.S market by storm. The early adopter will enjoy the freshness before most people get their own as well. Its continued sales will depend on the machine durability.
