Yamaha’s 3-wheeled motorcycles 03GEN-f and 03GEN-X

Japanese motorcycling giant Yamaha unveils prototypes of the Tricity  03GEN-f and 03GEN-X.

LatestMotorcycles.com: Motorcycle giant Yamaha is showing off different variations of its three-wheeled themed architecture – the 03GEN-f and 03GEN-X. The new variations have indicated that more prototypes can be seen in this year’s Tokyo Motor Show.

Details of the two new designs have been released based on its carvings and three wheeled Tricity architecture.

The first one is the road-going 03GEN-f and the dual purpose on-off road ‘Cross’ 03GEN-X. The Tricity was first unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show and since then it has been released globally to get hold of its stability. The release of the new concepts has indicated that Yamaha will be further developing the three wheeled motorcycle for new markets.

Yamaha started off with the Tesseract at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show when the four wheeled motorcycle architecture created a sensation. The Tesseract became popular on a global platform and Yamaha continued with its research and development. The Tricity was released globally in 2014 and more developments on the three wheeled concept were shown late in 2014. It was the 01GEN a large crossover bike with twin front wheels layout of the city.

The press material of Yamaha indicates that the 03 GEN was designed with the underlying theme of ‘Future Racing’.  Yamaha is known for its design as the central pillar of the product as seen in its models over the years.
