Royal Enfield has been in operation for the past 60 years. All through these years, it has relied on single-cylinder engines for the manufacture of their motorcycles. However, the Indian company announced that it would launch its first brand new dual-purpose motorcycle this year. The company has quite a large group of loyal customers in India. Appearance

This bike is set to have excellent off road capabilities based on the preliminary official images. The brakes fitted on the motorcycle will be discs comprising of steel braided brake lines.   • This 2016 Royal Enfield Himalayan has been manufactured in conjunction with Harris Performance, who is British performance Specialists Company. Thus, it has blended the Indian manufacturing techniques with the quality British design. A 411 cc motor will be the primary source of power for the motorcycle.

 

  • When at the speed of 6500 rpm, the bike will provide 24.5 bhp and a 32 NM at 4000-4500 rpm. The motor will be equipped with a counter-balance equipment that reduces vibrations significantly making it the most refined engine unit manufactured by Royal Enfield to date.

According to the manufacturer’s 2016 Royal Enfield Himalayan first look and review, the price will range between INR 1.65 lakh to 1.85 lakh (£1677.50 – £1880.80). The price will be kept below the Rs 2 lakh psychological barrier to keep it competitive hence guaranteeing high sale volumes.
